Stephen
R. Figlin, SPPA FPPA (Founder / CEO)
Stephen R. Figlin has been in private practice
as a Public Insurance Adjuster since
1966. After attending Temple University
and the University of the State
of New York, he began his career
in the insurance industry. Mr. Figlin
founded Stephen R. Figlin &
Associates, Inc., of Philadelphia in 1976.
Mr.
Figlin serves the National Association
of Public Insurance Adjusters (NAPIA),
of which he served as President,
as a member of the Board of Directors
as well as a member of several committees
including Grievance, Professional
Certification, Professional Education,
and the Liaison for Coalition Against
Insurance Fraud. In 1987 the National
Association named him to its highest
honor as Senior Professional Public
Adjuster (SPPA). In 2000, Mr. Figlin
was named by NAPIA a Fellow in the
Profession of Public Adjusting (FPPA).
In addition to the service he has
given to the national association,
Mr. Figlin is currently serving
the Pennsylvania Association of
Public Insurance Adjusters (PAPIA)
as its Secretary, and has been a
member of various other state associations.
Mr. Figlin is constantly sought after
as a lecturer and has lectured to
a myriad of professional groups
throughout the nation. He has also
written widely on the subject of
Public Insurance Adjusting for many
business and consumer publications.

His hobbies include boating, reading,
and hockey, as well as involvement
in many philanthropies, contributing
to a body of knowledge and experience

Nicole S. Figlin, SPPA
Senior
Adjuster / National Director of
Catastrophe Management
Nicole S. Figlin is a second generation
Public Insurance Adjuster. She began
her insurance career in 1989, following
in her father's footsteps. Ms. Figlin
is a Cum Laude Graduate of Temple
University with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Elementary and Early Childhood
Education.
Ms. Figlin has made many milestone firsts
in her career. In June 2002, Nicole
became the first woman to ever serve
as an Officer of the National Association
of Public Insurance Adjusters (NAPIA),
where she currently sits as Vice President
of the Association. In 1996, she
became the first female member of
the Board of Directors of NAPIA,
where she was also member of and
chaired several committees. In 2001,
the National Association named her
to its highest honor as Senior Professional
Public Adjuster (SPPA). In addition
to her service to the national association,
Nicole served from 1998-2000 as
the first female President of the
Pennsylvania Association of Public
Insurance Adjusters (PAPIA), of
which she has also served as the
first and only female member of
the Board of Directors, and now
sits as a permanent member of the
Board as a Past President.
Ms. Figlin has been involved in coordinating
research and data systems.
Following severe hailstorms in Bowling Green, Kentucky,
she served as Director of Catastrophe
Operations. She has organized
and prepared highly complex claims
involving all aspects of property
insurance coverage on losses exceeding
millions of dollars throughout the country.
Nicole adds a unique perspective to claims
handling by adding her understanding
and sensitivity as a woman in situations
where patience and understanding
are sometimes required.
